Close To Greatness~Graffiti

Graffiti is an illegal display of writings or drawings on a public surface, usually administered by gangs.  Graffiti is a crime in itself and it is extremely hard to repair.  It is the art of criminals and gang members who want to tag specific areas.  There is a major difference between graffiti and street art.  Although both are, for the most part against the law, street art is visually appealing, unlike its evil twin graffiti.  One great example of street art is the infamous Banksy, and if you haven’t already seen his stuff, you should check it out:  http://www.banksy.co.uk/. Below is an example of the difference between street art and graffiti
